With over 20 years of diverse healthcare delivery experience Kim’s professional career spans public and private sector delivery systems, clinical HIT innovations, and healthcare management consulting. She’s led transformation in a variety of clinical settings and has earned a reputation for employing strengths-based leadership to build high-performing teams that deliver exceptional results. Merging her clinical background with disciplined project management, design capabilities and business know-how, Kim founded Opt2Lead in 2011. Opt2Lead, LLC is a national healthcare solutions company specializing in healthcare quality management systems and performance improvement strategy.

Prior to founding Opt2Lead; Kim was Chief of Quality Management at the Cleveland VA Medical Center; a tertiary academic facility comprised of 2 acute care hospitals, 11 outpatient facilities, a LTC facility and an annual budget of 600M. Kim successfully led the organization through multiple external surveys achieving superior accreditation results. She designed, implemented and staffed the organization’s first hospital Case Management program integrating utilization review with onsite care coordination, quality measurement and team-based care. During her tenure, Kim transformed the Quality Management Service to meet changing quality and clinical performance demands. For consecutive years, she led the organization to top clinical and operational performance rankings. In February 2011, Kim was awarded a Department of Veteran Affairs Commendation for her work in Quality Management.

Prior to joining the VA, Kim worked as Clinical Excellence Program Manager for Philips VISICU. She directed clinical transformation for hospitals implementing the eICU® telemedicine care model. She provided coaching to health system management on the use of clinical, operational and financial analytics to accelerate telemedicine program effectiveness and to facilitate use of IT clinical enablers. Prior to VISICU Kim directed a 2M cardiac cath lab investment project for Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. She designed multidisciplinary PCI and acute stroke programs managing all components of program development and execution. Kim’s other key experiences include her role as Senior Consultant for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and a variety of leadership and bedside clinical positions at both University Hospitals and The Cleveland Clinic Health System in Cleveland, Ohio.
